FlowCentric is a workflow management framework which has been developed on the Microsoft .NET development platform. In its out-of-box form, it consists of a workflow framework that enables the configuration of the mulitple workflows, which constitutes the running of any particular organisation or business.
Internal to the Activity Server is the workflow engine which routes and manages tasks and activities, based on rules, to the relevant roles (users) that make up the heirarchy of the business.
The internal Service Bus (SOA) enables seamless integration to any existing back-office applications or databases, to bring data into the workflow. This data is orchestrated with the workflow tasks and activities and written back to the relevant back-office system within the rules and constraints of that system.
This enables an end-to-end workflow to be carried out across an organisation, from inception through archive, with messaging management which enforces task sequence and completion.
Being the Microsoft.NET platform, seamless integration with all Microsoft Office, or ERP systems, including Sharepoint and Biztalk, is standard.
FlowCentric is a rapid-application-development (RAD) framework which caters for iterative, agile, development and change management.
